The Great Tapestry of Scotland, displayed in its permanent home in Galashiels, includes key events in the history of Scotland. It comprises 160 panels created by 1000 volunteer stitchers. Panel 50 depicts the signing of the Covenant in Greyfriars Kirkyard in 1638. The society’s Autumn event will visit Greyfriars Kirk and Kirkyard on 1st November where members and friends will see where this remarkable document was signed.
